| Preschan Homes have sound proofing throughout the
house. Being a timber frames structure with additional layers, impact sounds throughout the house
are stopped. All of the walls are designed to incorporate a layer of mineral wool, which prevents
the passage of airborne sound. Under the floor, to prevent the noise of footstep and other impact sounds,
we lay sound insulation. To stop the airbourne sound through the floor, we use a solid layer such as
concrete and levelling ballast.
This not only meets the building standards but surpasses them. According to the standards, a house
must have a high level of such insulation around rooms like the toilets, however with Preschan Homes
we use this high level throughout the whole house.
